Project Overview
This guest bedroom was designed as a cozy, design-forward retreat — one that feels collected, confident, and unexpectedly modern. The client wanted a space that felt luxurious without leaning too formal, with colors that evoked warmth and personality.
The goal: a grounded palette that blends modern geometry with organic tones — creating a mood that’s both calming and bold.
Design Vision
The inspiration for this bedroom came from the idea of quiet strength. We wanted to design a room that felt deeply rooted in nature but executed through a sleek, contemporary lens. Shades of olive green, terracotta, and cream became the foundation — a mix that feels rich yet approachable.
This palette balances masculine and feminine energy beautifully: strong, warm, and sophisticated. The clean lines of the furniture and lighting help keep the space feeling structured, while layered textures in bedding and textiles soften the overall mood.

At Konstruktion, we are passionate about driving value into every project we undertake. We continue to challenge our people, projects and the industry. By being forward-thinking, we are continually finding new ways to deliver success for our clients and stakeholders.

Color & Material Story

Every tone and texture in this space was chosen to create visual rhythm.
  • Walls: A soft sage backdrop provides a fresh yet grounding base, enhancing the natural light.
  • Textiles: Velvet, linen, and waffle knits layer warmth and texture, turning the bed into an inviting focal point.
  • Artwork: Geometric shapes in muted earth tones bring a modern edge to the organic palette, adding graphic interest without overwhelming the space.
  • Lighting: Brushed brass pendants suspended on either side of the bed replace traditional lamps, creating vertical symmetry and a soft, ambient glow.
Furniture & Layout
Image Placement: Wide shot of bed + nightstands
The custom-upholstered arched headboard softens the room’s geometry, while the natural wood nightstands introduce an earthy, tactile contrast. Their warm tone ties seamlessly into the terracotta bedding and accent pillows.
The layout was intentionally simple — a reflection of balance and ease. The symmetry between mirrors, lighting, and artwork reinforces visual calm while maintaining depth and structure.
Lighting & Ambience

Lighting plays a crucial role in defining the atmosphere. The pendant lights provide a sculptural element that feels modern yet timeless. The mirrored wall panels behind them expand the visual space and introduce a soft reflection, enhancing both natural and artificial light.
Together, they elevate what could have been a small guest room into a dimensional, boutique-style experience.
Texture & Layers
Texture is what gives this space its soul. The contrast of smooth marble, brushed metal, textured linen, and plush velvet tells a tactile story. The bed’s layered look — structured but approachable — invites you to sink in and stay awhile.
The overall effect is effortless sophistication — the kind of luxury that feels lived-in, not staged.
The Result
